at all the not-so-good reviews for 'body of song'.

obviously, they're bastards...but is it just yet another case of 'established artist pushes boundaries, ruffles establishment feathers', or what?

i really, really dig the vocal treatments. anyone disagree?

Sirius satellite radio is playing the heck out of Circles. So, someone there isn’t fully zombified. I don’t even have to check to see if regular radio is playing it. But, then I don’t want to get into their 1 part fame, 3 part crap recipe that they require for airplay.

He is so good at capturing emotional situations and has a reassuring, level headed, experienced approach/angle in the lyrics. I wonder if the musicians who are good at that are actually going through that at or around the time of writing the album or are tapping into what they once felt before? Or if it’s the less impressive answer and they just pull something out of the archives.

He looks like he’s in his mid to late forties. Is he actually going through what he’s saying in those Body of Song songs at that time in his life? Shit I hope not. Or is it old emotions jotted down years ago?

    Smart stuff.
